Thanks
for visiting our Update Page. We change it from time to time, sometimes
giving more details about our ministry. Sometimes giving an inside look
at family life and news. This time we have both...
July,
2007
7-7-07 was a big date
for many people. For our family we chose to gather all the generations
for a Patriarchal Weekend. What a time we had!
The only ones missing
were granddaughters Katie and Elizabeth and their families; they live
in Missouri.
We hope you enjoy our pictorial account.

We each gave our family history. Here Kim is telling the Kendrick side.
Our roots began in: England, Ireland, Scotland, Sweden, Denmark,
Finland,
Lithuania, Germany, Austria, Italy, Greece, and Native America - that's
what we've discovered so far.
Everyone took a turn at meal prep and another at cleaning up.

We'd asked each
family to come prepared with a family game or activity, so we went from
hilarious games of SPOONS and Clue, to walks after sunset, and quickie
teaching sessions followed by affirmations.
One session even ended with us asking forgiveness for long-buried hurts
caused by some bad decisions we made in the mid- to late 1970s.
At the end of the weekend Grandpa Pete (Pappa) prayed a patriarchal
prayer over each
head -of-household. Then each of those shared communion with their
individual family members,
followed by a priestly blessing over each individual.
